The Nation Law Firm – Christian Advocacy Center

“Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.” Matthew 5:9 (NIV)

“But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” Matthew 5:44 (NIV)

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” Proverbs 31:8-9 (NIV)

The Nation Law Firm – Christian Advocacy Center assists people who are being intimidated, restricted, or prevented from exercising their Christian values. This includes cases where you are prevented from praying in accordance with your faith, speaking about Christ, displaying Christian crosses or other items, as well as cases involving the right to assemble together. All of these rights are guaranteed to the citizens of this nation by the First and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution.

Don’t Be Surprised

Before discussing how I can help, I want you to know that discrimination against Christians should not come as a surprise. In John 15:18-21 (NIV), Jesus said “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first…. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. They will treat you this way because of my name….” In Matthew 10:24 (NIV), Jesus said that “A student is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.” Jesus also said that his followers “will be hated by all nations because of me.” Matthew 24:9. See also, Matthew 10:17, 10:22, John 15:18, John 16:2. And, why was Jesus hated? There is no valid reason, for as Christ said, “’They hated me without reason.’” John 15:25 (NIV), referring to, Psalm 35:19, and 69:4. If Christ himself suffered because of his beliefs, then his followers should expect to suffer also.

Count it all Joy

I also want you to know that in the midst of your troubles you are called to “[c]onsider it pure joy….” James 1:2a (NIV). The New Living Translation states it this way: “Dear Brothers and Sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.” So, don’t be troubled. Instead, “[r]ejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Matthew 5:12 (NIV).

Discrimination Against Christians is on the Rise

The frequency of discrimination against Christians is on the rise, as is the intensity and insidiousness of those attacks. The reason underlying the increased level of discrimination is simple. Our Adversary seeks to remove every last vestige of Christ from this great nation. Our nation is a shining example of how God blesses the nation “whose God is the Lord.” Psalm 33:12 (NIV). The battle we are in is real. Of course, we must not lose sight of the fact that “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12 (NIV). Thus, we must not view the people on the other side of our cases as our enemies. They are not. Our enemy is not flesh and blood. Many people who oppose Christ and Christian values are simply victims of a spiritual war that they didn’t even know existed. They deserve our prayers, not our condemnation. It is always my goal to be a blessing to every person involved in the process – this includes our opponents. You never know when or where the seeds we plant will bear fruit.
