Tammy Hammack-Barber was born near Sacramento, California into a military family, and moved to Florida after completing high school. She attended Florida State University College of Law where she participated in several internships, including The Innocence Project of Florida and The Children’s Advocacy Clinic, along with working for a local law firm that represented injured clients in their personal injury cases.
After graduation, Ms. Hammack-Barber accepted a position as an Assistant Public Defender in Orlando where she worked for three years advocating for the rights of individuals and gaining jury trial experience.
Prior to joining our team, Tammy worked at a law firm in Maitland representing homeowners and small businesses against insurance companies. She has litigated first party property losses resulting from plumbing leaks, mold, hail, lightning, windstorm, and hurricanes. In 2018, Tammy joined The Nation Law Firm where she continues her advocacy by representing individuals and businesses in disputes with their insurance companies over wrongfully denied and underpaid claims.
Outside of work, Tammy enjoys kayaking, hiking, scuba diving, and spending time with her family, and her labradoodle Winston.
