Christopher H. Hunt is a devoted husband, father of three, grandfather (Papa) of five, and an elder at his home church. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida 1998. In August 2002, Mr. Hunt began attending the newly reestablished Florida A&M University College of Law and in December 2005 earned his Juris Doctor, graduating with honors. After graduating law school he was admitted to The Florida Bar in April 2006.
Mr. Hunt began his career as an attorney working for a large insurance defense law firm where he defended personal injury, construction defects, and property damage claims. Mr. Hunt transitioned from insurance defense to a fledgling consumer defense law firm established to help clients struggling with financial difficulties during the mortgage crisis of 2007-2010. During this time he helped lead and build that firm into the largest consumer-oriented defense law firm in Florida. While his practice has been primarily in the civil trial arena, Mr. Hunt has also handled minor criminal matters and complex appellate issues. For several years Mr. Hunt also served as General Counsel or Assistant General Counsel for numerous businesses including real estate brokerages, title underwriters and title agents, and law firm entities.
Mr. Hunt now focuses his practice primarily on first party insurance claims on behalf of homeowners.
Mr. Hunt is presently admitted to all Florida State Courts, the U.S. 11th Circuit Court of Appeal, U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida.
