Maria Morris concentrates her practice on litigating property insurance claims on behalf of homeowners and businesses throughout Florida. Prior to joining the Nation Law Firm, Maria spent the first ten years of her legal career representing insurance companies in property insurance claims. She has managed hundreds of insurance claims throughout various stages of claims handling and litigation, including investigation, adjustment, pre-suit coverage determination, litigation and trial.
In her extensive experience, Maria has handled losses caused by hurricane and windstorm, hail, fire, water intrusion, plumbing leaks, and theft. Additionally, Maria has taught continuing education courses to insurance adjusters and other attorneys. After years of defending insurance companies, Maria has decided to use her knowledge and experience to represent policyholders who have been improperly denied coverage or underpaid on their insurance claims. Prior to her legal career, Maria received her undergraduate degrees in Criminology and Public Relations from the University of Florida in 2003.
Maria received her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 2006, where she graduated Cum Laude. While in law school, she served as Treasurer of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, member of the Hispanic Student Bar Association, and member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society.
Outside of work, Maria enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid fan of the Florida Gators.
