How I Use Technology in the Courtroom to Make Sure the Jury Understands Your Story
If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance that you—or someone you love—has been seriously hurt or you are grieving the loss of a loved one due to someone else’s negligence. When you’re facing the unthinkable, choosing the right lawyer can be one of the most important decisions of your life. At Nation Law, I want you to know: I use every tool available to tell your story with clarity and power, especially when we’re standing in front of a jury.
I’ve been trying cases in Florida courtrooms for more than three decades. I’m Board Certified by the Florida Bar in both Civil Trial Law and Business Litigation—a distinction held by fewer than 20 of the 113,000+ attorneys in this state. I’ve handled hundreds of jury trials across Florida and obtained numerous seven- and eight-figure verdicts and settlements. But one of the most important tools in my courtroom arsenal isn’t just my experience—it’s technology.
Why Technology Matters at Trial
For most jurors, a trial is completely unfamiliar territory. They’re being asked to quickly absorb complex information—liability, injuries, medical diagnoses, treatment plans, wage loss calculations, future medical costs, and yes, even the intangible but very real damages of pain and suffering. All of this is being presented in a rapid-fire format, and the insurance industry counts on the jury being overwhelmed and confused.
Confusion is the insurance industry’s friend.
The defense wants to make your story seem complicated. They want to bury your truth under layers of cross-examination, expert opinions, and distorted narratives. That’s where technology makes a difference.
How I Use the Vibe Smartboard to Cut Through the Noise
In my courtroom presentations, I use a Vibe Smartboard—a state-of-the-art interactive display that allows me to walk the jury through your story clearly and visually, step-by-step.Whether it’s:
• Highlighting a key part of a medical record
• Showing a timeline of your treatment
• Demonstrating how the crash happened
• Comparing your income before and after the injury
• Undermining a defense expert’s testimony in real time
The Vibe Smartboard brings your case to life. This isn’t just a slideshow.
I use it dynamically—circling, annotating, zooming, drawing connections—so the jury not only hears your story, they see it unfold in a way that’s easy to follow and impossible to ignore.
Judges have commented on how effective it is. Opposing lawyers have told me they wish they had something similar. Most importantly, jurors regularly tell me that the Vibe made everything easier to understand.
Clarity Wins Cases
Insurance companies thrive in the shadows of confusion. But in the courtroom, I don’t let them hide there. My job is to shine a light on the truth—and technology helps me do exactly that.
When we go to trial, I want your story to be crystal clear. I want the jury to understand precisely what happened, how it changed your life, and what justice requires. My use of courtroom technology—especially the Vibe Smartboard—is one of the ways I ensure your voice is heard and your truth is understood.
If you or a loved one has suffered a catastrophic injury or wrongful death, call me. Let’s talk about how we can tell your story—and make sure it’s told the right way.
